On July 21, 2026, the first session of the “Forging a Safe Skyline—Strengthening Machinery to Ensure Safety” special campaign on construction lifting machinery safety in Xiongan New Area was officially launched at the project office for Phase II of the University Town Relocation Support Project. The event was hosted by the Xiongan New Area Construction Engineering Quality and Safety Inspection Service Center and co-organized by China Railway Fourth Bureau Group and Beijing Pangyuan.
This training session focuses on the core risks associated with the installation and dismantling of tower cranes, reinforces the principal responsibility for workplace safety among all participating construction entities, and standardizes end-to-end management and control of lifting equipment installation and dismantling. By identifying and addressing potential safety hazards at the source, it ensures that the safety baseline for construction projects in the New Area is firmly maintained. Yang Shenwu, Director of the Xiong’an New Area Quality and Safety Center, Ding Qi, a director at Beijing Pangyuan, and other relevant officials attended the training.

This training session features a special lecture by Zhao Peng, a senior engineer and certified professional crane inspector at Shenyang Yike Testing and Inspection Co., Ltd. Drawing on years of hands-on experience in frontline equipment inspection, the course conducts an in-depth analysis of common high‑frequency issues and hidden safety hazards associated with the installation and dismantling of tower cranes. By examining actual on‑site equipment, it clearly identifies the root causes of these problems, while simultaneously presenting standardized corrective measures and preventive strategies. The result is a highly practical, real‑world‑oriented safety‑production workshop that benefits both online and in‑person participants.
The training moves away from a purely theoretical lecture format, using actual tower‑structure components as teaching aids. By systematically examining the equipment’s structure, key connection points, and vulnerable parts, it identifies potential risks one by one, transforming abstract safety standards into clear, practical guidelines. This approach effectively enhances trainees’ ability to identify hazards and respond appropriately on site.

Offline, project safety management personnel from nearly a hundred construction firms—including China New Construction, CCCC Construction, Beijing Construction Engineering, China State Construction Engineering, and China Railway—gathered on site, covering a range of key new‑area projects such as the Peking University People’s Hospital Xiong’an Campus, several university relocation campuses in Xiong’an, and the Xiong’an Station hub area.
An online live-streaming channel has been simultaneously launched, enabling practitioners from the new district’s construction, supervision, contracting, and testing agencies, as well as frontline operators involved in the installation, dismantling, inspection, and operation & maintenance of lifting machinery, to participate in training concurrently. This ensures full coverage of personnel on key projects and in critical roles, establishing a comprehensive, multi‑tiered platform for safety‑training empowerment.
