To strengthen accountability for workplace safety, standardize on-site management of large construction machinery, and address gaps in frontline oversight, Shaanxi Pangyuan recently joined forces with the Sixth Division of Shaanxi Construction Engineering to conduct a second-quarter specialized training session on large‑equipment safety. The training adopted a “theory lectures plus hands-on practice” format, delivering practical, field‑oriented instruction to key technical, safety, and equipment‑management personnel from all project departments, thereby comprehensively elevating the level of safe management and control of large construction equipment at the operational front line.

Theoretical training focuses on the core pain points of construction sites, delivering precise and practical content. A representative from Shaanxi Pangyuan systematically reviewed common high‑risk hazards in tower crane operations, covering key topics such as the preparation of construction plans, risk identification, on‑site management, equipment maintenance and operation, standardized procedures, and a routine safety management system. The session comprehensively addressed frequently occurring safety risks associated with tower crane assembly, disassembly, jacking, and lifting operations, clearly outlining preventive measures at the source and establishing a collaborative platform for equipment‑related communication between both parties.
Relevant officials from the Safety Supervision and Management Department of the Sixth Engineering Division of Shaanxi Construction Group, drawing on the project’s specific circumstances, shared experiences and discussed optimization measures to address key challenges in areas such as equipment acceptance upon arrival, routine maintenance, installation and dismantling supervision, and rectification of potential hazards. They also agreed to conduct specialized training and hazard inspections on a regular basis, thereby establishing a long-term, sustainable safety management mechanism.

Following the theoretical training, all participants proceeded to the equipment yard for hands-on, real‑world instruction. Using key components such as tower crane standard sections, attachment frames, and various safety limit devices as tangible teaching aids, the instructor disassembled and explained the equipment’s structural principles on site, providing step‑by‑step guidance on rapidly identifying potential hazards, implementing standardized maintenance, and adhering to proper operating procedures. This targeted approach addressed the industry‑wide challenge of “strong theoretical knowledge but weak practical skills,” effectively translating learning into action and achieving the integration of knowledge and practice.

This joint training program was pragmatic, efficient, and highly targeted, fully leveraging Shaanxi Pangyuan’s strengths in specialized lifting‑machine expertise and state‑of‑the‑art training facilities. It effectively addressed the professional skill gaps of frontline managers, laying a solid foundation for establishing a regional benchmark in lifting‑machine safety management.
